    Got this email for a TV I am selling:

    Hello Antony,
    i have seen the price and its ok by me then i have instructed my client in
    to issue the certifier cheque on your name, in us funds. meanwhlie i also
    instructed him to include your money on the payment so you should expect a
    cheque of $3500. the excess is for my shipper that will be coming for pick
    up.the funds will be used for the shipping of the {65' HDTV - $1000} along
    side other goods i placed order for in care of my shipper.i imploy you to
    locate any local cashing outlet nearest to you, cash and and deduct your
    money ($1000) and wire the balance via western union money transfer to my
    shipper as soon as you RECEIVE the cheque and also have deduct an extra $100
    for your stress of cashing and the cost of wiring the remaining funds to my
    shipper that same day. My SHIPPER will come for pick up on a specicified
    date that will be convenient for you. i hope i can count on you for my
    balance I ALSO WANT THIS TO BASE ON TRUST CAN I TRUST YOU?...
    I hope this is understandable and ok, i will also like you to feed me out

    Only way I can think of is to agree to his terms, but tell him that you ONLY use UPS (or FedEx or whoever) and it must be shipped through your shipper. Tell him that (for whatever reason) he needs to send you cash or a wire transfer for the ship amount before you will box it up and go to the check place or whatever.

    You need to make him think you are falling for his scam, then you need to give him some obstacle (requiring money from his end) to overcome. He will see the prize and think he can scam you, but meanwhile you've scammed him!
