If you look in the Ferrari Spare Parts catalog, this item is called "Hood Shock Absorber" in English, or "Ammortizzatore per Cofano" in Italian.

On the 360 they call the front ones 'Shock Absorber for Hood Support' but the ones for the engine hood are called 'Gas Springs' ! How do you like that?
Same type of part different name!

just love the names and the descriptions! Ferrari call them different names to charge different prices! I just replaced mine by going to the local auto store who sourced them locally. In Euros they were 70 the pair....a bit cheaper than Ferrari me thinks!

PS My number 1 son lives in Holland, he can't pronounce them either :D
