Much, Much better....my car, when I bought it, obviously had a repaint. However, there were a few spots done poorly, and had no paint at all. these spots were developing surface rust, and the longer it remained untreated the longer I couldn't wash the car. Living in a very hot, humid environment made matters worse, as I had to constantly run a dehumidifier around the car to keep the moisture away.....

Finally I scraped a few dollars and free time from my schedule and had the affected areas sanded down, sealed and resprayed by an excellent paint man. The rust is gone (never to return, since I have a lifetime guarantee in-writing), The car looks terrific, and now I'm able to wash and wax it. My first pro detail job was for free (another story from another shop), so now the car is near perfect cosmetically.

The paint on the back panel of my 328 (where the plate is mounted)was "webbing" and was repainted at Steve Harris Imports (Salt Lake City)
prior to delivery. They did an excellent job and I couldn't be any happier.
I guess what really matters is the quality of work.

Just had my completely stripped and repainted. My car has NEVER looked this good, even when I bought it 2 years old. Factory used acrylic lacquer. Epoxy primer didn't exist yet in 75. Better paint technology. I could not be happier.

My whole car is "paintwork" as it was apparently resprayed in some gaudy multicolored mess and then resprayed again about a year and a half ago back to blue. It is a great job - A-pillars redone in black, the whole 9 yards. Only problem is that the exterior looks way better than the interior...

Plus I got a good deal as it is a "storied" car and so I don't give a hoot about originality etc - just drive the thing.

    Cheers
    Kevin
