I have a 2002 360 spider . The engine light cams on when I started it today. I stopped by a place and had an OBD2 put on it. I showed error P0179. I cleared the error. Started up and no issues and no engine light on. Next time I started it the light came on again.

I've searched the forums and also the shop manual. I can't find anything specific to resolving the error code P0179 (Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit High Voltage).

Can anyone advise what part should be replaced and where it's located (if it easy to get to I'll replace it myself).

    thanks

It is used to tell what levels of ethanol are in your gas. One tank of bad fuel will cause this code. Ethanol attracks water. I have seen customers come in with running problems before and have lots of water in the gas and they just filled up.

Run that tank of gas you have out completely and clear the code again. That same type of sensor is used on Flex fuel GM cars. You might want to condsider a new fuel filter.
