received my first pm, still cannot reply, compose etc

I've been going crazy trying to figure out how to private message people! Found this thread via a Google search, all makes sense now Time to make some posts.

 

Found this thread in google too. It all makes sense. Unfortunately I need to PM for interest in a car and I feel bad making random posts.

Well, seems I have the same problem as others. I've been lurking for a while (its amazing how much information you can get just by reading) but now I want to PM a member to get some quotes on parts in the for sale section, but alas no functionality.

Hopefully a moderator will see this and turn it on for me.

Actually, I have a question about PM's - how come when I send one it doesn't end up in the 'sent' folder?
I can't seem to find the option for that?

It may take two or three posts before your system-designated probationary period is up.

Find a few discussions you want to participate in, make a few more posts, and you should be able to PM just fine.

i think you also need to subscribe at the silver level to be able to PM

 

Correct me if I'm wrong...I believe Silver allows you to send e-mails through the Fchat platform...but any member can send PMs once they clear the initial "hurdle".
