I'm new to this board and saw with interest the crashed 360's on offer. Does anyone know how the repair shop fix a bent aluminum frame? I heard it's much more difficult to weld than steel.

Some dealers, like Ferrari of Houston, have frame straightening machines specifically for the 360's aluminum frame.

There is one way to fix them. Cut off the damaged sections and weld on new. Aluminum is no trick to weld, anyone good with a TIG can do it just as easily as anything else.

The trick is that Ferrari will only sell structural parts to authorized body shops of which at my last count there are 4 in the US.

This car is currently underway, just as you describe. It is at my partners Ferrari repair facility in San Jose, Costa Rica. They are gaining Factory authorization as we speak, his Ferrari dealership has been open since last June. They got high marks from the visiting factory reps last week for their equipment and procedures. The Costa Ricans are great people to work with; easy going and they enjoy life. They love Ferraris down there; thumbs up all the time.
