I would like to make sure that the fuel level sending unit is in good working order. I am putting the gas tanks in with all new hoses and clamps! I now have done EVERY HOSE AND CLAMP!! I would think a volt/ohm meter is what I would use to test it but I'm not sure? Please let me know what to do guys. Thanks Bill Mason!!!

An ohmmeter should show a changing value as the float is moved through it's travel. One lead of the meter to the sensor mounting plate(or a ground connection on the plate), the other to the wire that goes up to the guage. There is another terminal that goes to the low fuel light the will have 0 or infinite resistance depending on the position of the float.
