How do you work the 328 fog lights?

    Sorry if this is a really stupid question because it probably is but I have had the car a year and a half and I can't figure it out. Is there any way to turn the fog lights on completely or are they just flasher lights? If I pull the stock towards me I can flash with them but I can't figure out how to turn them on completely.

    They will only turn on if the switch on the console is on and the headlights are also on.

    yep headlights need to be on...drove me crazy for a year also trying to figure out how to drive with driving lamps only

    I just turn the lights on by rotating the knob at the end of the light lever countercolckwise with the light lever in the upper position. That way I can use the driving lights toggle switch w/o having the light pods up.

    This is correct and does not require the headlights to be up for operation.

    On the early models, 85/86 the bottoms lights are actually day flash lights, when you pull the left stalk back to flash incoming traffic (high beam ) the bottoms lights will come on too. on the later models they have been changed to fogs.

    On my 89, I switch on the external light (not headlights ) and my fogs turn on when flicking the switch on the bottom console. (behind gear leaver )

    you can also set the height of the fogs beam by removing the lenses, there is a little adjustment screw next to the balb. (for both)
