    Too soon to tell in my case; with the Ferraris (6) so far, my experience was

    348- no problems other than little glitches- like dash clock didn't work;

    355 F1- got rid of it quickly so i don't know if the transmission would have been problematic

    328 (89)- bulletproof- oh, the headlight switch fell apart, but i put it back together once i got home;

    512 BBi bulletproof- I spent the money to have a queen fettled before i put it on the road; major service, new rubber, shocks, water pump, clutch, etc. About 10-12k miles in one year. Flawless.

    550 Maranello (97) bought used from dealer- endless problems at first, but once i got to the bottom of all of them, from bad hoses, to belt replacement, to ECUs, car was fine.

    550 Barchetta (o1) bought new- 8k miles- not one problem.

    Diablo 6.0 (01) bought in January, '05- just put 2k miles on it in last 6 weeks; may have a shock problem, not sure- drives like my old BBi- so far, so good.

    Always felt the 550 Barchetta was a very beautiful car. How long did you own it? Nice to hear yours didnt have issues after 8,000 miles. I have heard so many nightmare stories regarding the 550. Isnt there a very expensive service around 10,000 miles?

    Oh.. I owned a 2003 Murcielago from 600 miles to 6,500 when I sold it a year later. I replaced the ashtray... that was the only issue.

    Cherm- mine was one of the first in the US, # 66- shortly after i got it in July, 2001, it was the subject of features in Forza and R & T. Loved the car, but the top was a real issue for me since i will go on long drives, for days at a time, and need the ability to run in all kinds of weather. Those who saw me struggling in the rain at a couple of events know what it was like- the car has since had several owners. At this point, i could buy a queen for less than sticker, so if i ever had the hankering for one (again), i could get another. Frankly, i'd love to have a mid-sixties 12 cyl. convertible, but every time i say that, the price goes up.

    I believe you will find them comparable. Lamborghini service may actually be less expensive on a murci vs. f430 for scheduled maintenance.

    Murci has a 2 year warranty. the 360 is 3 year if that is any indication.

    The problem I am seeing today with lamborghini is if you need a part, then you could be in for a looooong way. The service from Italy (according to my dealer) is not very good.

    Should be better with parts now that VW/Audi is at the helm.

    Being in the warranty business, I've never seen any real problems or delays getting parts from Ferrari or Lamborghini. They both seem equally fast.

    Something like an ash tray will take a while, not many places want to stock those. :) Any mechanical or electrical part is usually super simple to get.

    Yep. Thankfully, I never found out as my Murci was fine with all its original parts.

    The whole ashtray saga was insane though!!

    I waited for 6 weeks for a cigarete lighter and 8 weeks for a new door key and alarm. The key was cut and the alarm fob was programed in Itally, $385 BTY. At least it worked first time.
