How early to the airport these days to catch a flight?

Our flight is this Wed in Milwaukee leaving at 2:40 in the afternoon. Should be slow around that time. How soon do we need to be there before hand? In the 80's I traveled a lot. I had it down to a few minutes more or less. Park in the park and ride lot across the street. A van ride to the front door. To the counter and out to the concourse. A lot has changed since.

How about the return on Sunday 10:30 AM in Miami? Show be a somewhat slow time. Sunday morning.

2 hours before the flight leaves??

The park and ride van will drop us off at the correct location in Milwaukee. In Miami we have to return the rental Benz and then search for the correct place to go. That should not be to difficult. Finding the car rental return in Miami may be a bit harder but I have good directions they supplied. Sixt car rental.
