When you bought you 355 how far was it shipped?
That's self shipping. How about punching that in. What I'm trying an idea of is how big a search area people allowed. For example, when I started looking I looked at cars what were pretty local, gradually expanding my search area. I ultimately found a car on the opposite coast.
I would have gone to the ends of the earth.... But settled on 2500 miles for a trailer on the '97 and 1000 miles on the '95 driven back from colorado. Great times. Robb
In the end, I found mine under 100 miles away here in California at CNC. Funny thing was, I visited 3 states during my search and was getting ready to hop on a flight to Chicago as my next target. On a separate note, I did fly to St. Louis to purchase my 91 850 BMW, sales rep met me at the airport in the car and I drove it back to their shop - great experience. Car was shipped and dropped off in the front of my home - gotta love receiving a car in this manner.
First was shipped from Fla to DC area. Second came from Missouri Third I drove home from PA. Not sure how I would vote.
Bought mine from a local seller and drove it home. It had been listed on ebay several times but the reserve price was never achieved. I was the top bidder 3 times. I finally contacted the Seller and basically told them that the market had shown that my bid was as high as they were going to get. They agreed and sold it. Now my 328 GTS, on the other hand, I purchase sight unseen off EBay from Salt Lake City and had it shipped to LA.
Driven 38 miles to a dealership for a PPI by the previous owner who wanted to enjoy her one last time. Trailered 55 miles to my home at everyone's recommendation because NYC roads are so bad & the car is so low and it was new to me. I shoulda drove her home
