    Howie , it looks like a convertable Daytona Spider.

    Indeed the yellow convertible behind the red 246 GT is a Daytona Spyder, possibly Chuck Buff's award-winning Daytona Spyder, s/n 15429, the 62nd US Daytona Spyder, which was at Concorso Italiano back in August, 2014.

    I have no record of 15429 being equipped with a radio, so the owner probably just rolled down the window and listened to the engine.

    I would take the 365 GTB Daytona over any of the current models;
    and in another 20 years, it will still be worth more.....

    How far we have come?

    Driving IQ of the average driver today is a fraction of the average drivers back then.

    Today, we have to also put up with distracted drivers (cell phones, texting).

    Ferraris back then were more raw & visceral, maintainable, where the overall performance was strongly influenced by the driver's skills. Today's Ferraris require virtually no skills to drive and do practically everything for you, unless you turn a bunch of stuff off. Of course, you still have to pay for the stuff you turned off.

    How far have we come? In 1972, most Ferraris were purchased by enthusiasts. Not many collectors at that time. And no Internet to sell them on.

    Unfortunately, I was just a little kid back then. :(

    Find a way to work your way into owning one of those cars and you can get pretty close. Mike

    good question.
    I also want to know what the tire pressure was, specifically the passenger rear tire.

    Noticed that too. I'm thinking two photos from two different years. You wouldn't have seen a C4 at the 83 show.

    Not necessarily true. Notice the Touring-bodied barchetta next to the C4. The 308s were new cars, these weren't.

    These two cars were on display, by the way, by Griswold Co. of Berkeley, CA.

    Never understood why a Ferrari needed a radio anyway. (Just an editorial comment) ;)
