I got sick of my desk being more unorganized than I wanted it to be and I needed some storage under a section of my office desk. With some spare plywood, I whipped this out in 15 minutes!

You need to finish it with some Danish oil. And add a draw-wer.

Naw! I'll order some real wood this week, build a better one in the next month or two and burn this one. I just needed a quick fix for the office.

Fifteen minutes? I gotta get me one of them table saws!

Nice work. Forget making a "better one." That has a cool story. In college, I made an entertainment center out of cardboard and Elmer's glue. It supported a 25 inch color TV! Total cost $1.39 I thnik.

LOL! You can do a lot real fast with a good table saw. I'm getting ready to build a new dinner table to replace my current one I made a couple of years ago. I'll be using Brazilian Kingwood (Rosewood), Paduk and Paufero. The Kingwood is aewsome, but you can't breathe the sanding dust or get splinters in your fingers, as the wood is poisonous.

The main thing is to set your 3/4" dado head cutter to 3/8" depth and use your biscuit joiner to provide concealed shoulder bearing that will resist greater shear forces. In our next segment...

How the hell would you use biscuits with a dado cut? That's a new one! What did I miss here?

Just some quotes he uses on every project. The dado cut would be for the shelf to side supports, and the biscuits would be for the outside frame joinery. Come on man, use your brain!

Wait, PDQ - due to it's scarcity, the US is the only country it's allowable by law to ship to. Nevertheless, Brazilian Kingswood is best reserved for guitar fingerboards, man!

The other 9 have been sold, so...
    Board 09-15-05IW7446A
    3/8 x 2 ¾ x 20 ¾-21 ½” $50.00
    Board 09-15-05IW7447C
    3/8 x 2 ¾ x 20 ¾-21 ½” $50.00
    Board 09-15-05IW7447F
    3/8 x 2 ¾ x 20 ¾-21 ½” $50.00

That is correct, one board less than 2' long = $50.00, with a $100.00 minimum order.
    http://www.gilmerwood.com/instrument_wood-fingerboards.htm

The only fingerboard material luthiers use which is more expensive is zebrawood.
A zebrawood guitar fingerboard will run 200.00, while a bass fretboard is 295.00
