what amazes me is that you guys are taking pictures of your speedo whilst going this speed lol, surely you should be concentrating 10000% whilst at this speed...? I usually take the pics from the passenger seat of the car whilst my dads driving the 360.... fastest we have been was around 240kph I guess... aussie roads arent that great, there are a few good stretchs of motorway but of course on the good bits there are speed cameras :(

    Speedman,

Hope nothing too bad happened this weekend. You werent too specific about it, but wishing you the best.

If you ever want a passenger along for one of your high speed runs let me know. I am only a short distance from you there in Charleroi and would be more than happy to take a ride in a Testarossa or whatever else you may have to drive.

    Send me a PM ANYTIME!!!!!

    Take care,

    Patrick

I was out past Salisbury Maryland on RT. 50 headed back to Annapolis. At around 2:30am, I just decided to put it down a bit, and cruised at the rev-limiter of my friend's M5 for a few minutes. Smooth ride.

    Regards,

Since the statute of limitations has passed, I piloted a Ford Mustang GT convertible to a(n indicated) top speed of 141 mph, top down, with a passenger to verify. I admit it was incredibly stupid, but I was in a rebellious stage in my life.

On a related note, when I was in high school, I was blasting down the highway towards the house in my 1978 El Camino. It wasn't super powerful, although it did have a 350, but at 80-something mph, I lost a rear tire. It was possibly the most terrifying thing I have ever experienced in a car. If I had been in the Mustang doing a buck-forty I probably would have died.

The moral of my story is that you should not drive too fast in any car and the public street is no place to do a high speed run.

    Well,not really....
I used to drive Porsches before, once I've got my first Ferrari,I lost interest in the Porsches.
    This W.E. I saw a 356 Speedster for sale,a real bargain,and I bought the car...Had to have it
Problem is:if you come out of a Ferrari, especially a 400hpowered TR,and you sit your b.u.t.t. in a 50 year old 4 cylinder Porsche, well, you just have your eyes to cry...This car drives like sjhit! But it's fun anyway...Had to calm down, the local cops aren't always friendly, and with a red TR in a small city, you just can't say "it was not me but somebody else".....

    Hi PAP,
Physically I'm fine, moral is down because of the "fast" Porsche 356...
    This is surely not a 10 second car for the 1/4 mile,but more a "10 seasons car"...So frustrating!No power,no brakes,roadholding "hmmmm"...

    Hmmmm.....Do we...?
Aren't fast cars made to be driven fast?
We all say and think "yes we shoudn't speed on public roads",but we all do it from time to time...
But I admit,we should limit high speed in secure places, where we can't harm anybody...LOL

What I think he meant was.......speeding should not be done on public streets. You are right, we speed everyday. Maybe 5km/h over or 15km/h. But high speed should only be done where it is stated to do so. Autobahn in Germany maybe? But everyone speeds. Its a part of life. Everyone knows that. :)
Are you starting your boy early? ;) Cute pic! I love dodgem cars also. :)

    No sh*t.
I meant everyone knows the road rules in their area/state/country. The street is not for racing/speeding. But EVERYONE does it. And............I did it earlier today also. 130kmh/ in a 60km/h zone. If the cops caught me, see ya PAP348. Id be locked up. :p:p

    Interesting point,
wouldn't it be quite difficult to manage a camera whilst at 300km?

i've got to tell you, the 430 at 140mph is a walk in the park. my 328 with the top off at that speed is more "exciting".
