Without any details  it sounds like your inclination is to be a whore and take the money! Your last answer to me says that you are already looking past the 25% and on to a bigger payday later. :):):)

I've thought about writing a book based loosely on my life and I've thought about taking parts of my life and writing fiction, that may come later. The man in the photo would not be me, the line I would draw in the sand is hundreds of feet behind him.

This will not, the situation was created and will be abandoned, I'm not side stepping anything for greater good, I have to go forward through this for no other reason then "I was told to".

If there was another way or another person I would explore the option but in my case one man holds the cards "if" I want to reach this goal. Also values don't factor into it, he's not treading on my flag, I believe he wants to know how much I want my goal.

Most people have to, most people do it without knowing, I never have and if this is ass kissing, they've changed the definition of the phrase. While unpleasant I see your point.

I'll probably have to make up my mind during the call. Perhaps his answer to the question again will sway me in the proper direction. Remember this isn't a big deal to him, he would do it. I don't think he's trying to break me... it's hard to explain.

It's like a person who has agoraphobia, it's no big deal to you or I if he leaves his house but to him he would melt down and will refuse any trivial offer to venture outside.

As in "a" homo? No. It's... I'm tempted to tell you guys but for me it would be embarrassing to the nth degree. Some of you may have done it before, some may have had a job that required this and hundred of thousands of people do it for a job but to me, I just don't want to at all.

I'll be fully clothed and I always look for bigger paydays but this one is large and within 5 weeks it could be realized.

If hundred of thousands of people do it, can't be that bad. For a sec I thought you had to provide acts like put a feather between your ass naked and dance around like a chicken screaming cock a doddle do.

No, like I said, it could be compared to someone with a phobia. You may think walking by a waterfall is pleasant but someone afraid of rushing water could have a heart attack. I just think my pride will stop me from doing this and given the replies, I don't think I should proceed.

what if it's a trick? what if-- by you showing your willingness to do this, or have this done to you-- you prove yourself unworthy of the prize?

this is a very intriguing thread. it brings to mind how pimps groom young women into prostitution; by creating a large financial and emotional rewards for incremental steps of increasing self-degradation, overcoming established taboos and sense of self-worth, praising them along each step, and severely degrading and berating them if they show any doubts. is the thread starter being groomed?

Neil, please don't let them touch you "down there"! ;)

(all in good humor of course)

    EDIT: missed Neil's post.

I am going to have to agree with you on this, for 25%, it isn't worth the embarrassment to live with for that much.

Pretty vague description of scenario here. Regardless, it's far better to make it on your own then to sell out somehow for money. Do it if you're willing to pay the price.

So, what you would have had to do for the money was only a "big deal" to you but probably not to many of the rest of us. And the wealthy person offering you the deal would have had no problem doing it himself.

Can I assume it had something to do with working in a specific job position, for a month or so's time? Perhaps a job position where you had to wear a uniform?

yeah, I think it's something along the lines of buying into a private janitorial services company, but in order to do so the majority owner is asking that Neil be willing to scrub a few toilets to see and understand what people at the bottom have to go through.

Neil however is a highly educated and accomplished individual (my assumptions) and is probably thinking, "I didn't bust my butt all these years to scrub toilets next to a HS dropout" or words to that effect.

and there's nothing wrong with that feeling. I'd probably feel much the same way*. but he probably doesn't care to tolerate being labeled an "elitist" either, by posting about his unwillingness on this forum.

    how close am I Neil?

    * except, my first job was on a commercial shrimping vessel, so I don't need to re-experience that again. ever!

You're both close indeed, but what some are comfortable with others are not.

I guess so but it is also odd. In my club job was being paid in the high 6 figures a year, and I thought nothing about cleaning a bath room at one of our clubs should I walk in and find it messy or even down right destroyed.

If doing the nasty job is a problem with you, good luck raising kids or puppies!
