I am thinking about buying a 250k msrp coupe. Its black and it has shields, yellow calipers, electric seats and some other small things. Its clean and its one of the cheaper ones on the market. In a few years will i be the smart one or dumb one when I go to sell. Smart in the sense that I am in less than a lot of people or dumb because no one will want it.

    Opinions please!!!

Black and yellow should sell, assuming black interior with yellow or white stitching or whatever. My advice is drive the snot out of it while you have it so resale doesn't hurt as much as the fun you had driving it. I've always thought red then yellow then black or silver as far as what will sell easier ... then there the blues and other silly colors. You are best off getting the color YOU want and don't worry about resale, like I said simply have fun! Or put your money in the bank (useless there) and drive a Prius. A black 458 looks GREAT ... I saw one six months ago. Shields also help the sale, they say Ferrari!

IMO, 12's will be in easier to sell than earlier cars because 12's come with the 7 year maintenance program in included. It's easier to convince someone that maintenance will not chew them to pieces owning it.

Mileage will be next. High mileage, harder to sell. It's unfortunate but true.

You can't really go wrong with most of the colors of 458's. Red and black's always sell and white is in fashion now. Color COMBO is more important. An ugly combo will be hard to sell.

Good luck on the purchase. You only live once. :)

Almost everyone who wants a black one will want this stuff.

Does it have the steering wheel with LED's? This to me is a "must have" feature.

I agree - there was a perfectly specced (IMO) 458 in Grigio Silverstone I was looking to get into - the interior was done tastelessly. I almost tried to convince myself I could "settle" for it - but at over 285k - for a car I wasn't completely happy - with I passed.

    What's rear LEDs?

Up to you on sensors. I have front and rear on both my Cali and BMW and I've grown used to them. I have a small garage and they are useful on a daily basis. I had aftermarket rears installed on my 911 so you could go that route if you desired. They were quarter sized x2 and not noticeable.
