There's one on dupont asking $339k My prediction is another 9 months and we're there Reason being all the Lusso's coming back for trade on the 812 Also how will the turbo version fair against the V12 ?
I think most of the cars are dealer demos. I have a T showing up in February. I expect to take a hit. $100,000 in 9 months? Just depends on how much I drive it. I think anybody buying a New Lusso is going in with eyes wide open. It's usually part of a bigger picture.
You're estimate is much more probable than mine - wishful thinking on my part I love the Lusso but the whole resale issue makes it a dilemma as when is the best time acquire one
If they stop making the V12 they won’t drop much lower than the a new T given the choice of a slightly used V12 with 4 wheel traction or a more expensive V8
Your right as far as finding the floor for values - But my goal would be get into it when fairly new say 2 year old Lusso drive it for another 2 and then take 60 - 70k hit and move on hopefully
The ask on nicely optioned examples (hifi, Led, roof, etc.) with a couple thousand miles is already showing sub $320. Sell at $310? What was the list on those...I would guess 380-390? If so, OP may not be far off. Anyone take bets that they start with a 2 by March? Not sure anyone got into this without eyes wide open, but a great used value is coming. Like tt, dealer told me a strong lease deal coming on new.
I Don’t really care about the price in March, I bought the Lusso to use as my daily driver for at least the next 4 years or longer. I don’t want to drive a suv (although we own an autobiography & a G63) and am bored with luxury sedans. I can’t imagine a better daily driver, and it may be the last Ferrari true 4 seater with a V12. I can’t even imagine what I’d replace it with, I like it that much!
We're all in the same boat on our 2017 V12's (whether Lusso's or F12's) and we all knew what we were getting into. That doesn't change the fact that someone who can't afford not to worry about $100k of depreciation isn't about to get a terrific value. It's going to be like Christmas for them....god bless them all!
I agree completely, if you can buy a Lusso at a significant discount all the better, my point is these are not flippers they are users and great ones at that. I required a daily driver as the lease on my QP was expiring,my choice as a daily driver was an FF or a new Lusso. I chose the Lusso because I knew I was going to keep it for many years. I would not have bought it if I planned to trade it in the short term, that would be a foolish waste.
I can give a small datapoint.... I know 5 people who own GTC4Lusso all over the world. None are what I would call flippers. The one who is selling his car- he wants to replace it with another in a different color and also wants the rear wiper.... Speaking for myself, I plan to keep it for a long time. I see it as a truly unique vehicle. And like Neil, I've tried the big name sedans, etc. They are all very fine, but here is a car that gives you nearly all the positives of those vehicles AND is a Ferrari. That's something really special.
no one buys a lusso to flip it. maybe someone buys it for currency but definitely not to flip. unfort 2+2s are not flippable!
Exactly - Most the sales are to customers vying to get ahead on the 812 list or LE's in general Once those folks get what they're really looking for they dump the more people dumping further the resale falls. Just my observation
Certainly true for many in UK, same with Cali, however it’s a much better car than cars that Ferrari would like to typically see “supported” by loyal clients so hard to predict values eg night and day better than early Cali or 612 with F1 box. It may do reasonably.
Our Lusso was supposed to be here for Xmas but the delivery truck has been massively delayed... Anyhow I plan to keep it for years to come. I also absolutely love our CaliforniaTHS and think it's another well kept secret from Ferrari - built both to keep for a very long time, or until their comparable replacement options become available. Same here, my wife plans to keep her Lusso (coming in March/April) for 4 years (as long as the warranty is valid), will put 12-15k miles per year.
Wouldn’t it be normal for an ultra luxury two door, four seater like an Mercedes S65, Bentley, or Rolls Wraith to lose 20-25% after being driven for over a year?
Absolutely. I think it is just when that percentage gets applied to nearly $400k, people get weirded out. They focus on dollar amount rather thank percentages... Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Yours looks very desirable on the Meridien site and priced at near premium. Even a 5000 miler ex demo is reselling at near new.
