How long has Carriage House had its Pur Sang?

Problem solved (with GuyI’s help lol)

 

Using Chrome, I see the image assets for this car's slideshow in lines 794-825 of the page source, but I'm not seeing any Exif data in the individual pictures.

I'm pretty sure the code you posted before referenced part of the slideshow template, which was probably first used in 2016.

I don't see any indication here of when the car was photographed.

You guys don’t understand.

No dealer will admit, “That car’s been in inventory for close to 300 days, and we’re currently floor planning at 30%, so we’ll give the car away rather than continue to floor plan the thing.”

That would be a hoot. I'd have to learn how to drive it, which I'm sure would be an adventure.

 

maybe it's a consignment car with an unreasonable seller.

maybe it belongs to a friend of the owner who is really using the dealership as storage.

maybe it belongs to the dealer principal and he's only moderately interested in selling, or uses it for publicity (if so, I'd say it worked )

there are a lot of reasons a car sits at a dealer for a long time, not all of them result in a firesale to get it off the floor plan.

that's why I'd call and ask

Another potential price point: If you google the VIN, (which you probably have) the car was also listed on a site known as Autoquid for $180,000, but can't tell when, but it is slightly higher than the 1 eBay offer that was rejected. If on consignment, perhaps this indicates the owner's valuation earlier.

So...

A client of Carriage House bought it from Pur Sang in 2015. That buyer developed eye difficulties that prevented him from using the car, and it was never titled. He then sold it to Carriage House.

It’s been on sale since around June. Asking price is way too high at $195k. If it were titled, maybe. Getting a proper title is a huge hurdle.

A brand new one can be made to any specification for 10 or 15% more.

Agreed - that would generally be hard to ascertain looking at HTML code unless the photos were tagged with a date.
