    The door panel does not need to be removed. There is a single screw underneath the door handle. Remove it and pull the handle toward you. It'll pop right out.

    The handles will come off but it took a little more "umpf" to pop mine off. For a while I thought those suckers were welded on there.

    I've got the plasti-dip and would reather rely on lessons learned here at this fine site full of knowledgeable a wise hands (okay pouring it on a bit thik ;-) rather than bending the ac cover plate or worse trying to get it off.
