Of the 547 348 Spyders imported to the US how many are still in existence? 350? Any idea?
My guess is that nearly all of them are still around. I can remember only a few lost cars in the past 15 years or so from when I owned one.
Really? I've seen at least 10 totaled either wrecked or burnt sell on Copart and IAAI In the last two years. S Auto parts / Slava81 on eBay has dismantled two himself in the last 9 months. It would be interesting to know how many are gone but there is just no way to really know. I think ther are a lot more gone then you think though. I'm trying to restore a 94 interior burn that probably should have gone to crusher, but I'm not going to let that happen. In searching for parts I've found lots of spiders that have met Thier makers.
Do you think that 7 a year is within reason? 7X21=147 so say 400 remaining. Is that a lot? anyone else with an idea?
