I would like to know some inquiry:
    1. How many CAT ECU they have in F355 5.2?
    2. Where are they located as my knowledge they are only 2, left and right but I have read some posts here they said they also have the CAT ECU for the Y pipe? Where does the CAT ECU Y pipe located?
    3. Picture will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for all of your advise.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year FOLK!!!

So that's mean every 355 5.2 has three CAT ECU. Any different in US and Euro version, Is it the same that they have 3 CAT ECU in Euro version also?
    Thanks

Euro cars have only 2 cat ECU, one for each cat. The third one, and the associated thermocouple after the exhaust valve, is not installed.

Likely a dumb question but how do you tell which one is bad when you get a slow down light?

Thank you so much for all of your comment. I really really don't understand about the system. Because I have read almost of the post and some said they have 2 some said have 3. But now I have been clarified by EARNIE. Thank you so much to him.

You trouble shoot the system. Eliminate the individual.parts, bemch test them. Search funcion is your friend its been covered many times.

Use an OBDII reader plugged in by the steering column. Let's say it shows right bank error, then swap ECU leads and reset CEL. Drive car and wait for CEL to come on again. Scan OBDII again. If it switched banks, per your OBDII scanner then you just identified which ECU is bad.

Clue......If you look at back of the ECU and the epoxy is cracked that's probably the one.

Tap the signal output of the Ecu and measure the voltage it is sending to the motronics.

You will immediately where your problem is and can verify it's been fixed as well.

Cold voltage should be .5v and rises to around 2.4v when fully warm. Deviations from that in the form of dropped voltages or spikes can trigger the SDL.
