I have been wondering for a while how many Enzo's there is in the state California, im also wondering about F50's, F40's, 288 GTO's... I see between 1-3 Enzo's each week and maybe 1 or more F50'S a month same goes for F40's.
i doubt anyone has an exact number.... way to fluid, and their are private collections that never get driven and are hidden etc...
Those questions will probably never be answered, but on a side not I know there is one F50 GT in Cali.
At the 2007 Palo Alto Concours De'Elegance. I believe the F50 GT1 is owned by the owner of Ferrari of Silicon Valley.... -Brian
What he is saing is 1/8 of the Enzo in the world are in 2% of one country, or 50 out of 400 Enzo are in 1 state. I don't think so
where do you see all these enzos? i rarely see them cruizing the streets, but i know there out there.
Unless you can get access to the DMV database, there is no way to get an exact count. I know of one collector who put his new Enzo in his private showroom and has only driven it once for 7 miles. People like that are the reason you will never get an accurate count in any state. People will make claims but there is no way to really know, short of tracking down every Enzo in the world by vin# anyway.
Even if the car is in california, do you think the owner that will never drive it is ever going to register it with the DMV. Hell no. There's a good waste of 50 to 100 grand. I know an f40 is atleast 25 grand here in kansas.
For what it is worth, when I received my BAR label and registration for my GTO years ago, the local DMV Inspector, who gave me the registration, told me there were five 288 GTOs registered in California. Of course, there are many, I know of three, that are not registered in California that live here. Steve
Oh maybe i went over the line a little there, not up to 3, but i did last year... I see about 1 a week, well i have a 35km ride to work and back, i drive threw beverly hills so that may explain it. ---- I'm not look for how many there is i just want to know ABOUT how much there is.
There are about 25 Enzos in California...7 in the Bay Area, 10-12 in SoCal and a few scattered elsewhere but the number is not definitive. There could be more or less... I do know that there are about 70 Enzos in the US and California has the lion's share of that number...
That's for the whole U.S. Italy, Germany, U.S. (biggest Ferrari markets) each recieved at least 50 Enzos. Could be 10 more or less for each country.
The guy down the street from my dad's (Bel-Air, Ca.) has a 288GTO, an F40, an F50 and he's got (yup, you guessed it) an Enzo as well! The exotic car rental place on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and Wilshire had a couple of F50's and an Enzo for rent for a while. Rumor has it that my dad's neighbor is the owner of the rental place. Some punk a*s mid 20's arab son of a sheik! He was supposedly sent to the States as "PUNISHMENT" and given only "ENOUGH" cash to survive.
You're saying that for a car of which a definitive 500 were manufactured, just 70 came to Ferrari's largest market? Be reasonable. Remember that NO Enzo was right-hand drive, which makes them completely illegal in several large markets like Australia and South Africa, limiting their presence there. It also makes them less usable in other large markets like Hong Kong and the UK. Multiply the number you gave by about two and a half times, and I think that's about where you would find the actual number of Enzos in the U.S.
For what it is worth, and it probably isn't much, I was told 75 Enzos for the US. Then, you have to add the various Dubai, etc. US Spec Enzos that make it here. An Enzo in Utah just make it's way to CA in May, so you can add another one to the bunch. Steve
The general consensus in the Enzo registry thread is that around 100-120 total are in the States. Figure about 30% of those in Cali?
