I know it's been discussed before, but it was a while ago.

Approx. how many Ferraris in the United States?
Approx. how many Ferrari owners in the United States?
Approx. how many members of Ferrari Club of America?

Any other data like that is most appreciated. Thanks in advance,
    Z

When I asked this question a while back, the consensus was about 25,000 cars.

I'm currently in Newport Beach. It seems that 99.99% of those cars are here and they are all 360s! (j/k)

Remember the cries when Martin - of So. Beach and Miami - said 360's were "common?"

And I almost never see a 360 (or any other post-1999 Ferrari) on the streets of greater Atlanta. 308s, 348s, 355s and TRs are more often seen.

I'm not sure about the total cars in the U.S. but there are around 11 million in Florida alone.

Living just outside Chicago I see a few from time to time. There's a 308 not too far from me, I see a 355 almost monthly so he's local. On the roads I see a 360 a few times a year, and I did see a 246 at my post office once. Oh, and an Enzo with a regular IL plate a couple years back! He almost caused accident after accident as people stopped to gawk! LOL

I never see the older cars though, like the Testarossas, Boxers, 412's. I see an occasional Mondial though.

I see a lot more Ferraris than Lamborghinis or Lotus' which is what one would expect considering production numbers, although I've seen 2 Elises lately.

Everyday in south Florida I see Ferraris on the road. I do not mean in the dealerships, or the one I am seated within, I mean cars being driven on the road.

Just in my home area, I will see 2-3 per day, and I have no idea who the owners are. Many are "snowbirds", that actually leave their Ferrais in Florida to drive for the 4-5 months they are in the sun.

When you take into account that only recently has Ferrari production surpassed 4000 units per year worldwide, and that production 10 years ago was probably half of that worldwide, the 25,000 number seems reasonable.

24,952 of these were in Palm Beach for Cavallino.

Well, in 2005, Ferrari sold 1,500 cars in the USA, which was a new record. The previous record of 1,300 was set in 2004.

In theory, Ferrari has been selling in the US for 50 years. In practice, some of those were pretty dry years.

Adding it all up, 25,000 seems to be a pretty good guess.

Have any idea how many FCA members don't own a Ferrari?

No kidding. You couldn't turn around in South Florida that weekend without seeing a 360. Enzos zipping down the highway became a non-event. Lots of Gallardos out playing also.

I just got an email from the owner's site, from which one can infer that there are about 70,000 Ferrari owners worldwide.
