As I just attained ownership of a 430 spider, I'm tying to gauge how sick my car addiction is.
I see constant threads of upgrades from 355's to 360's to Scuds to 458's or 599's, etc.
I know Ferrari has me by the balls now, but how many models will I go through?
    This is scary.

Not sure, but I had a 328 GTS, which is still a favorite, and would like to upgrade to a Daytona or 246 GTS someday. Next level up would be an F40. Next level up from that, which may never happen for me, is a 250 GT Lusso or SWB, but at that point it's more investment than car.

Nothing I really would want after the F40.

    That is the truth.

It is nice to have something like a 328 to go with it, though. They make the best pair in my opinion.

For me, there is no transition from that. You can look at other cars and think they're super cool. But as far as wanting them? Not me.

Except I'd need a 2nd one after wearing out the 1st one ;)

At my present rate, I'm on the 3 or 4 (if I'm lucky) plan...

Nothing after the F40. That is so true. But, getting an F40 is beyond my dream right now. I don't think the F50 is better than the F40, and Charlie's angel can keep her Enzo.

+40. Nothing in my realm has attracted me enough to write a check since.

A 375+,... an 860 Monza... but too much for me to seriously consider.

In my case, probably only one. I like my 328 GTS just fine, even though it isn't the fastest and has lousy ergonomics. Now that I've replaced most of the worn-out parts, I can concentrate a bit more on fixing some cosmetic issues. I originally wanted an F355, but now that I know how horrendously expensive they are to maintain, I'm glad that I "only" have a 328! At least, everywhere that I go, people recognize the car, and nearly all of them are smiling!

I have bought 8 in 16 years and sold 6. I doubt I'm done though I only bought 3 in the last 12 years. Then there were the other marques. I doubt I'm done.

Having 3 Ferraris in the garage for myself would be fine. I have no plans to buy and sell/upgrade. :)

As the next street/production car Ferrari: I'll likely stick with 3x8 (I've had a 328, then Euro 308, then back to 328). In my current life style, I find that I don't use it enough; therefore, I don't see the point of a getting another street model. Besides, I still like the Euro 308 and 328 models for the looks, size, driving feel, and balance of simplicity with modern features.

My next Ferrari purchase would be a street-registered historic race car, but the Enzo-era barchetta and spyder I ultimately would like to own are likely not available even if I have the funds to pay current market price.

Luckily for me, there is only one model that I absolutely need to have (328, currently on my 7th), but there are several that I would love to add to the garage some day. I think a 360 Modena 6-speed would be nice. :)

Interesting question to me it comes down to $$$. I just bought my first Ferrari and after lusting after a 3x8 series I ended up with a Mondial so I would still like a 3x8 series at some time in the future. I would like to add rather than replace so I would like to keep the Mondial. I can also see myself buying a 550 or 575 for when I get older and have a bit more cash maybe a retirement present for myself for my golden years.

Bought my first one in high school. Just an old nail then. Have had five more of which I didn't keep one. Foolish man that I am! Went with Aston, Merc, Jag etc but no comparison. I am waiting on delivery of number 7, a 550 to be delivered Thursday. I can't wait much longer or I may bust. I have been told I won't want another having a 550. I've been told that it is the culmination of all the best attributes that Ferrari has so I am really stoked to use this one daily. The only thing I intend to do is add another classic Ferrari at some point, mid 60s with a little luck (Lusso, PF, 330) when I recover from the most recent purchase. I would then be a happy man again.

Beachmk4, I guess we had the Ferrari experience at about the same age. At 13 I had a Datsun the neighbor gave me as he moved away and yes I drove it around and the bicycle took stayed in a corner. Then at 15 without a drivers license I shared a Porsche 944 with my older brother. At 16 a black 1983 Porsche 928S, and right after graduation in 1989 a 1984 3.2 Targa. Then in Feb. 1992 a white Ferrari 328GTS with title in hand!!! Thanks to my parents of course, I will never forget that day. Second was in 2000 a Testarossa, third was in 2005 a 360F1 and fourth was in 2006 a F430. Now I'm finding myself looking into either a 360 or a 3*8 series car, but the 308 or 328 will get some extra power, suspension, brakes and ac upgrade, and of course a GTB.
