How many made: '57 Fiat Scaglione America Spyder

In one way it's ugly. It another way it's ridiculous.
Such as the '56 Corvette side panel. Did Scaglione imagine that first and Bill Mitchell VP of Styling at GM steal it?
And then the fin. A homage to Harley Earl?
What about the leanback windscreen, seen in many a GM car in the Fifties?
Was Scaglione aiming for a job at GM by designing these American features on a European car
Was there a production model called the America and this the prototype?
I swear I saw this car in Riverside, CA a few years ago. Was there an appearance at Pebble because I found a picture of the same car up on highway 1 looks like near Carmel
