Hi Folks, There has been much discussionm over "high mileage" versus "low mileage" Ferraris and I thought it would be interesting to see how many miles we actually put on our classic Ferraris. So here's my poll. For me, 1977 308 GTB, 45K miles. Birdman
IMPORTANT don't vote in this unless you're voting re: your "Classic (365 GT4 2+2 through 348/512 M)" car! otherwise the results will end up pretty useless! i voted, which i should not have. sorry! doody.
Received Feb 1 2003 with 50k, as of Oct 2004 has 63k smiles, i mean miles, i mean smiles... i mean... oh heck with it
If your Ferrari is over 25 years old.... do you really believe what the Odometer is telling you? Given the ease of disconnecting it on the older cars and likelyhood of a mechanical failure at some point, what are the odds its accurate. Also, on an older car I would consider maintenance history and condition as far more important than miles. Terry
Agreed, and also why it is great to have as much documentation as possible. As for me, have a book documenting the car from 1987 onwards. From 1985 to 86 it was in Austria with the original owner as best i can tell.
Yes, if your car is brand new (Doody!) you will throw off the results! Terry, I'm well aware that some unscrupulous individuals will attempt to cheat the system and disconnect their odometer, but this is still a poll for miles. If you are one of those unscrupulous people, don't vote! If you think the PO of your car did it, just vote for the "spirit" of how many miles your car has. Birdman
1986 328 - GTS (EURO version) now has 231,000 KILOMETERS which is about 143,000 miles. Original engine - and was taken immaculate care of by previous owner. Likes to be DRIVEN !
Ferrari 328 Euro I like your style! My 348 spider is a relative babe at 72,000kms, or about 45k miles. There is another black 328 with your beautiful red 328 pictured in your profile, another local owner? I am in Boxford, MA. John.
Hey John, Thanks! Actually, the other 328 (GTB version) is a dark green (called Verde Scuro Metallico) and indeed belongs to my neighbor and best friend. It's a very unusual colour and looks incredible in the sunlight!
I just turned 32,650 miles on my latest '89 328 but over the course of the last two years and three 328's, I've driven a total of roughly 19,000 miles. It's been great!
Just passed 34,000 miles today. 1984 400iA. Owned 2 years and started with 28,400 miles. There would have been more miles but there were several months of recovery time after it came down with 'fuel injection flu'. After finally taking it to Tim Stanford's in Ft. Lauderdale it now runs GREAT! The man and his staff know Ferraris. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks guys.... but I can take little credit for the number of miles on my 328.... 99% of that was from the previous owner. I have met him once and I truly believe he eats, sleeps and dreams Ferrari's. Now HE is the MAN!
28000 Km on my 1986 328 GTS.Last 7000 in the last year (Since I bought it...). Terry, I truly believe that, last year in November, my car had 21000 Km. I ckeched it deeply, believe me. In the last 7000 Km, NOT A MAJOR PROBLEM. It drives greatly and, soon, KM will increase steadily... Ciao Eugenio
24K on my 1977 308 GTB. Bought it with 18K 2 years ago and up here in Canada the driving season is kinda short.
