I tried to document my trip this year in the Mondial section. Had some technical glitches but the car did well. The car was in the shop for almost two months early in the year, getting a look over, a new top and new tires, then I haven't driven it since early November but I still was able to put a few miles on it. 12,093. Any one go past this on an older car? 1987 3.2 Mondi. It was driven from Florida to California and up into Canada.

6200km (almost 4000 miles). Nearly not as much but sufficiently pleasant. :)

Do you work on your own car?

    I do ......

.... in and around heart attacks and trips to REAL CRAPPY places.

There is about $11K of just new parts (my labor is free) on it in the past 2.5 years.

    :)

little over 2,000 miles for me, just bought her in October. Anxious for Spring. (and not particularly concerned with either what people think of my mileage or how far they drive their own cars)

I estimated that I would drive around 3500-4000 miles per yr and that has been the case for the past 2 years.

Hero material! I went & drove my machine yesterday (even though cars like it are loooong since tucked away for the winter here) and plan on trying to at least cover half your miles in '12.

    Your an inspiration my man.

Only made 2200 miles this year and even though it is winter here we have no snow (great). The down side is I just had a knee replacement and am down for a month before I can drive. Have a Happy New Year.

I only did about 4,000 miles spread across two Ferraris, but 800 of that was on the day I bought one essentially sight-unseen (pictures only) and drove it home.

Now it is apart for the winter and the real fun has begun!

    Josh,

I actually started PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER this past week.

Waiting for several grand of more parts coming in and have to make from scratch some new engine bay wiring looms over the Holidays keeping me busy.

I really enjoy working on my car. It is probably over half the joy I get from ownership.

If all anyone does is drive and throw money at it, why own it?

You can "Love" a car that way, but it never really becomes "YOURS."

~3,000 trouble free and joyous miles.

Took her out yesterday with the top down. It was 53F and the roads were dry...no snow in 7 days. No traffic. In lieu of skiing. The slopes are jammed, the roads are not. Ergo carpe diem. cognito ergo zoom.

    Life is good.
Life is better driving a Ferrari...with the top down. :D
