Where did you get this info ? I thought that he is collecting Ferraris in 1/1 scale

 

I know Chuck for a LONG time, but not real well. He has/had (?) more RD Marmande (hand carved wood in 1/43rd) Ferraris than anyone else in the world. I sold quite a few to him about 15-20 years ago. I haven't spoken to him in a long time. Skip Vandegraff from what was Hollywood Sports Cars bought a friends (Larry Wilson's) entire Ferrari models collection about 10 years ago...

 

The best collection I know of is in Japan. There are several collections here in the U.S. including the above mentioned one...

Way too many, I think about 50+ 1:18 scales but most of them are packed away in boxes. Same goes for 1:43rd & 1:64th Hotwheels Ferraris. NEVER REMOVED FROM BOX!

 

I have 100+ 40 or so are Ferrari’s. All 1:18 scale and all manufactures. I am beginning to sell a few and buying F-cars only.

 

Well... I thought this thread had died but...since it has resurfaced, I shall say that my count is now hovering just over 200 in 1:18 scale with Motorcycles included. If I get bored enough, I will add the ones I have added since the quoted post...

 

I dont have the break-out but the total is 110 now with about 40 1/43 scales added (mostly Ferrari)

 

Ive only got about 25 - 30 models... but my father has well over 1200 models.. the smallest are 1/18... and the most plentyfull... about 800... the rest are a mix of 12th and 1/8th scale... not counting about 200 1/24 & 32nd scale slot cars.... yep my dad and I are model nutz!

mostly the cars are exotic Ferrari Porsche... all the main ones, we have at least one of every 1/12 scale model F-1 Car produced since about 1962... Bandai, Grippo, Heller, Tamiya... you name it... the 3rd floor of my parents house is like a muesem... and he has an 80ft 1/24th scale slotcar track fully detailed and in period mid 60's.... that was the best when I was a kid!

I am a recent Ferrari car owner and collect die cast Ferrari cars. I am impressed with the size of some of the collections. You guys have very impressive collection of Ferrari model cars. I have been collecting for about 12 years and have about 115 cars in my collection. I am always looking for more.

I find it a bit difficult to find new or older models, here in Canada, but am doing well so far.

I am now looking for a few of the older models such as the 348 Spider for example. Can anyone help?

Mira made the 1/18 348 spider, the price is ranging from 20-60USD, I know a diecast seller located at Thronhill, ONT, and he always have those 1/18 Mira F349TB,TS, Spyder for sale, usually about 50 CAD. Also, you can search ebay, the Germany Ebay sells it cheap, I did have bought a few F348 Spider for less than 10EUR.

The mira Ferrari is quite good as it has pop up lights unlike those BBurago and Maisto ones.
