    Description
The Countach is one of the most iconic supercars ever created, following in the tyre marks of the Miura, the car for which the term supercar was coined. The Anniversary edition was introduced in 1988 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Lamborghini and only 657 examples were produced before production ended in 1990. The last variant of the Countach, the Anniversary was the most powerful, most highly developed and best to drive of the Countach models.

This fabulous Countach was first delivered on 11/5/90 by Portman Lamborghini, the sole UK concessionaires at the time. The first owner treated the Lamborghini with the care that it deserved, professionally storing it, maintaining it and using it sparingly. The Countach changed hands for the first time in February 2008 to another collector who then passed it on to current owner in November 2009. Serviced since by specialists including a fresh service in June 2013 this magnificent Italian sports car is ready to be used for the Summer. Supplied with a comprehensive history file as one would expect including the original owner’s handbook pack, service book, current V5C registration document, MoT certificate valid until May 2014 along with old MoT certificates verifying the low mileage on this cherished car. Also included are service receipts, an original sales brochure and various correspondence between the first owner and the Lamborghini concessionaires.

This must be one of the best preserved Countach Anniversarys in existence and would be a spectacular centrepiece for any significant collection.

Thanks to David H for telling me this one is for sale:

    12 Jul 2013 14:15 BST Chichester,Goodwood
    Collector's Motor Cars
Lot 305 1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Coupé
    Registration no. G178 VUV
    Chassis no. ZA9C005A0KLA12868
    Engine no. 12868
    Estimate:£90,000 - 120,000
    €110,000 - 140,000
    US$ 140,000 - 190,000

    Footnotes

Right-hand drive chassis number '12868' was ordered new through Portman Lamborghini in London. A letter on file from the first owner to Portman specifies the Bianco Perlato (Pearl White) paint and white leather interior trim (supplied by the owner) with blue piping and dark blue carpets, while an interesting second (faxed) letter to the first owner from Ubaldo Sgarzi at the Lamborghini factory concerns the paint finish. The original bill of sale (for £110,258.55) is on file also, the total including £1,100 for metallic paint.

First registered on 13th February 1990, the Countach has had only two owners from new and currently displays a total of 13,008 kilometres (approximately 8,080 miles) on the odometer. Recent works include a brake calliper rebuild (new pistons, seals, brake fluid, front brake cooling ducting and re-plating of the front brake shields); fitting new air filters; and changing the engine oil and filter; while the genuine Ansa sports exhaust has been coated in a ceramic satin black finish. In addition, the water pump has been overhauled and the car checked over by marque specialists Colin Clarke Engineering, who have advised that the clutch is 'approximately 75% worn' and the carburettors require an overhaul. Kept in a heated and dehumidified garage for the last 10 years, the Countach comes complete with owner's hand book, spare keys and tool kit, the latter containing an unused pair of leather 'Lamborghini' tyre changing gloves, plus an original Portman Lamborghini tax disc holder and Portman Lamborghini car cover. One spare outer front and one rear outer wheel rim, plus a few other spares, are included in the sale. Representing a rare opportunity to acquire what is widely regarded as the best road-going Countach in terms of handling and reliability, this well-maintained Anniversario is offered with the aforementioned order/purchase documentation, current road fund licence, MoT to May 2014 and UK V5C registration document

Who can confirm the chassis number for this car? I took a picture for the VIN but not clear enough to see whether it's 12309 or 12399

This car has recently come onto the market in South Africa:

This RHD example of the 5000S is finished in deep EBONY Black on an interior of light CREAM. The car has been very well maintained throughout her on road life of just below 55,000 kilometres and also under went a total engine rebuilt by Lamborghini Agent about 3,000 klms ago. In an overall extremely good condition and good opportunity for anyone wanting a right hooker.

Well priced with a UK landed cost inclusive of GBP115,000.

Interesting pic. The Wolf-style additions look very bizarre though, as if it was photographed midway through conversion or something.

    Description
In 1985 the engine of the existing iterations of the Countach was improved again, bored and stroked to 5.2 litres (5,167 cc) and given four valves per cylinder (hence quattrovalvole). The six Weber carburettors were moved from the sides to the top of the engine for better breathing. As a result, these downdraft carburettors helped the engine produce 455 bhp, while also creating the need for the iconic hump which so famously hampered the car's rear visibility.
The update to the carburettors, in conjunction with the strong angular styling, makes this one of the most desirable Countach versions. 610 cars were built.

This example, first registered in April 1985, is a very early QV5000 and has been impeccably maintained. It recently took part in the Lamborghini 50th Anniversary tour from the UK to Italy and even managed to sit very happily in busy Roma traffic!

    Holy $#!^
Is that for real??? The Japanese sure have a knack for knackering perfectly good Italian exotics. Sometimes you can kind of see what they were shooting for in theory but didn't quite succeed in the execution.
This is the "best" I've seen however and I do thank you for the photo, really made me laugh!
