I am doing some research for an article praising the model. But I don't know all the converters and would like to make a list. Straman's shop I saw in person but don't know if he was reinforcing the chassis in any way. I drove a Sheldon Brooks car but don't jnoiw what shop was his "cutter." I have seen a cruder one from some Italian shop with a hard boot cover. And I know Autokraft in the UK did some. I am guessing 50 were done in all and I haven't seen one for years. I think the well done ones will come back in popularity and price.

By the way Ferrari made two, one green one that looked like the Straman versions and used carbon fiber and a second one that was rebodied by Scaglietti for Gregg Garrison who told me it was custom built for him but I have seen it with a rough body when Ferrari was testing it.

I have a 365GT$ 2+2 Convertible. It must be one of the earliest ones done as it is a 1974 and was converted in 1980. If you like some more information look up chassis number 17695. There are a ton of opinions, mostly close to the truth, but I have the Ferrari in my garage if your have any questions.
