I paid $1.98 last week for BP 93 octane; the same station is now up to $2.07. (And my Civic SI needs the same grade!) I'm certainly not complaining; when I was in England in November, regular came to $5.00 (after all the conversions) and in California in March, premium was $2.35, and both these figures are undoubtedly higher today.
2.39 - 2.59 for 91 octane around Los Angeles. My sister in law just bought a Prius. Because of these prices, I ONLY laughed for 5 minutes instead of 15. DL
About $2.22/gallon for 93 octane. The real question should be 'Has anybody stopped driving their F-car as a result of higher fuel prices?"
Adjusted for inflation gas is still very cheap in the U.S. We pay more per gallon for avian water than 91 octane fuel that comes from the other side of the world and goes through multi step refinement. I paid $2.49 in newport beach and dont have a problem with it all.. When the price of gas gets high enough that alternative fuel makes sense you will see things change, until then we will be addicted to octane ratings. my $.02
2.36 for 91 octane. As long as it is cheaper than bottled water I will look at it as a good deal. For another 2.25 a gallon I can run VP, 110 octane leaded.
Think about it: even at the current high prices, gasoline in the U.S. is still a bargain compared to just about ANY other fluid on a per-gallon basis.....
I paid $2.70 USD a gallon for 91 today in Canada (Southern Ontario). That's $0.99 Cdn/Liter X 3.78541 Liters/Gallon = $3.75CDN / gallon = $2.699 USD/gallon
Do I really need 93 oct. in my 83 308? I am thinking its over kill anyway and could be putting 86 in no problem or at least 89. Anyone else doing this?
We are paying about $1.93 for 93 octane. I have not seen any places that offer racing fuel (like 100 octane and no alcohol and no blending) like we used to have in Illinois. Doe anyone really care though? Would anyone drive any less? I tend to think not. My Dad has a 40 ft Winnebago that he take around sometimes. He gets like 6 mpg. I asked him if this effected his usage of it and he said no way. I guess I should humbly say we are all fortunate to be able to afford these type of cars and drive them. Unfortunately, these gas prices are hurting the guy who can barely afford to get to work. gary
Gas is still going to get more expensive, rumors of shortages may also happen this summer, hopefully not.Crude hit another record today so in a few weeks higher prices again. People are used to paying high fuel prices but put it in perspective 1 gallon costs as much a gallon of milk, a deluxe hamburger, or chicken sandwich. High fuel prices effect everyone eventually, everything is trucked, shipped or flown.
Pfffffffffff, gents the fuel still cheap in the US!!!! Believe me. Here are the German prices: 1 Gallon = 5,36 US$ !!!!! Fuel for my testarossa: 31,70 gallons = 169,93 US$! (1 Gallon = 3,785 Liter / 1 Liter = 1,20 uro )
In the last week, I have seen prices jump 12 cents in Greensboro North Carolina. We are currently at: 1.91 (87-oct), 2.01 (89-oct), 2.09 (93 oct) I feel guilty complaining about gas prices when I'm driving a big BMW and a Ferrari -- it's like the pot calling the kettle black, huh? But, at least there are no go-awful SUV's or minivans in my driveway. -Daniel
Yesterday at my local garage fuel was 79p a litre, today it is 84.9p a litre, i would love to pay the prices you guys pay in America i could get the Ferrari a lot quicker.
there are not enough refineries in the USA and there's no will to change that in the near future, therefore they are buying out the european fuel market. that's the reason why the european fuel prices went overproportionaly higher than the oil prices. so, our american friends, say thanks to us for supporting your low fuel prices
$2.00 for 93. I cannot stand these increases because they have just been happening like crazy. It would be one thing if it was gradual but my area changed in the last week to ten days from $1.70 a gallon to $2.00. Makes me wonder what it is going up to.
Exxon in Florida, NY. $2.31 for 93 octane. Same station was $2.11 a week ago. It's gonna be a loooong, expensive summer. Boy, am I glad i'm unemployed and no longer have a long commute. By the way, didn't I hear somewhere that the US won a war with an oil producing nation ? And why isn't gas FREE now ? Spoils of war ? All I keep hearing about is more debt. Makes you go hmmmm, doesn't it ? Please, no political flames. I'm just a simple - minded guy who obviously doesn't understand the "Big Picture"
