I was just wondering how much you paid for your Challenge Stradale. I am looking to buy one and it will have to be a pre-owned because they are not taking orders anymore. I live in the LA area and so far, I have found three cars here, Meridian has one for $223,000, Ferrari of BH has one for $225,000, and beverly hills classic cars has one for $230,000. I have looked online and motorcars-intl.com has one and the asking price is $215,000. CHMC motors also has one and they are also asking for $215,000. Does location has anything to do with the price of the car? Seems like I can't find an asking price of less than $220,000 around the LA area. With an asking price around $230,000, how much should I make my offer?

How much did you pay for your Stradale? It does not matter if you payed sticker or premium. Please let me know. Also, isn't the sticker for the Stradale more than the Spider? The asking price is about the same, if not, more. I'm getting the impression the demand for the Spider surpasses the demand for the Stradale.

I need all the help I can get. Thanks a lot.

    Don

While I don't current own a Stradale I have had quite a bit of experience with them lately. The prices that you're looking at on the West Coast seem to be higher than what you will find on the East Coast. CS's have been selling here for closer to $200K for pre-owned low mileage examples from dealers. Mind you, these are not for red cars which may bring a small premium (why, I don't know). The CS lists new from anywhere in the low $190's to a little over $200K depending on options and the CS stripe. Keep looking and if I were you I would take a closer look on the East Coast and Midwest to save yourself a few $$$.

the above comment is correct, except that red is cheaper in la. if price and not time is what you want, go east young man, find a reputable [not all are] seller and save 10 or 20.

anything hot is 10+ more if it's physically already in la. your pricing sounds about west coast. what you offer is up to you but try you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Wattster: You've got it wrong on this one -- red is by far the most popular F-car color (whether on the CS or not) and has the best resale value. Silver, on the other hand, is a real tough sell! :D

I would tend to agree with this. Unless since they are more popular they out number all other colors to an extent of saturating a market but on a CS I don't think that would be an issue.

    jeff,
you're right i'm sure - jack and i are just pulling each others' chains...

yellow has the worst resale in CS, especially with yellow suede and gold lame horsies sewn in the seat back, with a big wing, but jack is all about RAP
