How much do you drive your Ferrari

We do 1500 to 2000 miles per year.

 

Since Jan 25th 2021 until today 3800 miles on my F8S. I’m daily driving my Porto since Jan 29th 2022 and will probably do 4-5k miles this year.

 

Which one?

Just drove my 330 GTC about 5 hours this weekend to a car event. Has 68k on the clock. It's been rolled over too [not by me though].

My SA has 18k, 599 has 26k, 458 about 12k, BB don't know. F12 only 5k.

 

Averaging 5K miles per year over 6 years. Just did a 200+ mile run with the local FCA.

About 1,500 a year here, but it’s not for lack of wanting to do more. No time, the living situation makes it difficult (constant moving around), and two small kids are a barrier to entry (of the drivers seat of my F430 ).

 

which one?

as i have often said....the best way to not put a lot of miles on your ferrari, is to have many ferraris to spread the miles over

 

Greater than 5,000 kms a year but mostly in two big batches of 3,000+ each time

Great track car but not so nice on the open road

Depends on the year. I've done 22k kms in 5 full driving seasons (about 5 months long here), so 4400 kms/year on average. Some have been 2000km years, one was an 8000km year (had to daily the car for two months).

 

I have 3 cars, a 328, F430 and Portofino and I try to exercise them all every year but like others, it depends on the year. Some years I put on a lot, others next to zero (a couple of laps around the block). Collectively I have 91,000 kms on them.
On the good news front I expect to retire in the next year and will have a lot more free time to drive them!

 

Clearly miles vary greatly by type of Ferrari. A touring car like an FF, California, etc. will likely rack up more miles than a mid-engine sports car like, say, a Pista Piloti, which in turn will be driven more than a Challenge car. It's not really an apples-to-apples comparison.

 

Been driving my 86’ 328 around 60 miles per month. Once my 72’ Dino get back from the shop I expect each car to be driven 40 miles per month.

 

I did about 900km last year with the 488. So far, this year I have done 190 with he 488 and 2500km with the 308 project.

 

The 488 has made about 4,000 km (about 2,500 miles) in a year and the 550 probably less than 2,000 km.
On average the 488 has been around 3,000 km per year, the ownership of the 550 is too new to make meaningful statistics.

 

Curious, why the discrepancy?

Am always interested in what motivates multi-F owners to grab one set of keys over another, since as we've seen that is often an explanation for lower mileage.

When I owned my Maranello, I drove it 20,000 miles in five years. I remember putting 500 miles on it in one weekend on back roads.

 

In my first 6 months of ownership, including an Indiana winter, im nearing the 1000 mile mark on my 456GT.

I figure regular, appropriate use will hopefully yield 2000-2500 miles/year. Any more and ill call that a really good year!

 

My wife actually likes the 308 better. She is afraid of messing up the 488 I think. We are both in the age bracket that grew up with magnum pi and the 308 was our dream car when we were younger.
The 308 is getting more miles because I let the two dogs ride in as well. Both cars are a lot of fun to drive but I worry less about something happening to the 308. It’s a relatively inexpensive car that we bought to have some fun with.

 

I think most of us have too many cars and can only do 2000-3000 miles per year on any one of them.

I have 8 cars and avg 1000-3000 per car, does depend on mood and which set of keys to pick up.

 

i dailied my 456mgt for 9 years. cost a bomb to keep that one on the road. crazy.

 

Poll is all good but you might want to alter it to state "each" Ferrari- many on here own multiple Ferraris- some perhaps driven more than others depending on model, purpose, vintage etc.

So would perhaps generate a better set of results- Just a suggestion- Cheers

 

Well at least for me the "grab the keys" decision between 355GTS and 458 Spider really comes down to-

1) Which one was driven last
2) Type of drive/event
3) Am I in classic analog gated raw mode or high-tech, sick fast, F1 mode

 

Picked up a 2016 F12 with 3900 miles last October. It now has 5500 and I had to store it for 4 months, Wisconsin. I am going to drive it as much as I can until my F8 Spider arrives, probably next summer. As I said to my Sales Associate, "When you get it back, it is going to have a lot more miles on it because I am not buying it to look at it."
