Just out of curiousity. Does Ferrari even offer this - or must you be Ingrid Bergman to get a new color? I've heard Porsche will match any color for you on a new order.

If they do offer custom colors, is it done at the factory or sent out to Scagletti or another shop? Is Scagletti just interiors now?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid I cant answer your question. Just curious what color you were thinking of.

I assume it's done at the factory.

To get the color of your choice you just have to be special enough to pay for it.

Something like this... although I think the ordering window for this particular model has passed.

yes, you can do the full-bespoke treatment.

no clue what it costs though. talk to your dealer. i'm sure it varies by car. i believe it also delays delivery quite a bit (months).

I think there's one charge for a "standard" Ferrari color (from some prior year, for example) which isn't being offered on a particular model. And a much higher charge for a completely custom color to match a sample.

With a Ferrari, any level of factory customization is possible provided your pockets are deep enough!

I think I remember reading in EVO or some British Mag that for UK customers it is 5000 British pounds (Given current exchange rates, about $9000)

Hmm. That's a fair bit. But then again, considering they charge 3000 BP or $6k for the Scuderia stripes on the 360 CS, it's expected.

And, of course, once you get to the 575 and above, that's only a fraction of the total price, yet the color and paint are so important overall.

Has anyone seen a custom color that is worth getting??? I have seen the famous Orange Enzo, it looks pretty nice, but does anyone have a picture of "special color" that is worth the money?

I've heard of people matching to favorite outfits, or purses - lots of dealers will have at least one story of a wife wanting it to match her purse.
Seems a bitt silly to me, but if you want to be the only one out there...
