As I have been researching and shopping the 1999 355 spyder and 1999 360 Modena Coupe market for the past 6 months before buying a 99 360 F1 Coupe 7 weeks ago and the prices dont seem to have fallen much at all.The perception that the coming new model will drive prices down did not seem to be the case with my search. The 99 355 spyders still seem to be bringing $ 99,000 ---115,000 and the pristine low-medium mileage ( US spec ) 360's $ 119,000---135,000.My search took in the entire US as I live in S.Carolina and bought a car outside San Fran. The owners and dealers still seem to hold that the quality cars will bring almost full retail.Maybe they will fall soon but I didnt see it.My search used Ferrari Ads,Dupont,FM Letter,Traderonline, and Ebay although it is impossible to make sense of Ebay cars with all the scams and games played there.Since I bought a 360 you can expect their values to crash soon but as long as that magnificent engine continues to sing I honestly dont care.I hope they bury me in it. Bunches. Like baseball-sized hail. But then again, so has every other late model car. They always have. They always will.

Pssssttt. I've got a secret if you want to avoid the worry of depreciation:

A fellow told me once: "By the Ferrari of your dreams.....but only after it is 10 years old."

So far, it has worked out for me.

A New 04 360 is still bringing in $10-20K over sticker.Gallardo is selling at sticker or below. 04 360 Spider is about $30-50K over sticker.. Enzo $1.3-1.5 mill. Other than the 456 it seems tha F-cars are doing just fine. my $.02

I recently started looking again @ 355's. What the Longhorn says may be right on. It appears that the 95-96 model year may have reached the depreciation bottom and might be stable 8 to 9 years in the cycle.

Here in Canada new '04 360 spider's are going begging at MSRP........

Used F-cars have dropped 15-20% in the last 24 months........some dealers have a lot of cars that have been in stock for over 12-18 months now.

Anyone up here that tells you the opposite probably has one for sale.

Yes, the replacements are around the corner but try to get one at MSRP. I'll assume the 20-30% markup tradition will continue on the new car for 2-3 years which should hold up values on the earlier cars.

In a UK Classic car magazine, one dealer has a 348 lower priced than a 328. Both are about the ame miles/shape. Hmm...
