freshman year. happened to one of my good good friends. his parents were gone, he had a party at his house, got stoned out of his mind, took his dads porsche for a joyride even tho he had never driven before, was going 70 in a 35 zone, went into oncoming traffic and hit a chevy van dead on. part of why ive never had any alcohol more than wine with my parents and that will stay the same until im 21 and ive never smoked anything and never will. RIP Johnny

Damn. This thread has semi-taken a sad turn.

A friend from HS just passed away last night after an accident at his dads shop. He fell and hit his head and died a few hours later in the OR. It really is tough since I went to a small HS, such as only 104 students in my graduation class. Really hits home quick.

    RIP Ryan

My ten year is coming up, and from what I have heard, many of the women/men that I graduated with have fallen victim to small town syndrome...married at 20 with 2-3 kids....Most of them are married to one another, and some of them are already on their second or third "I do"...

This reunion is gonna be funny. Since I hated most of the people at my HS & don't keep up with them, I am gonna mess with as many of them as I can. I will be that guy who says "oh, you are married to her now? You know she likes it when you hit it like ____ ..."

The biggest change I have noticed in myself over the past 10 years is that I have realized that NOTHING that happened in high school means a damn thing in the grand scheme of things. The only thing that changes is when the real world hits, the women are no longer looking for Mr. Popular, they are looking for the guy with the most real world potential, no matter what he looks like. (For you guys still in HS, you might not see this too much after HS graduation...just wait until you get close to College graduation & job offers/grad school offers start rolling in...)

Funny how things change. Back in the day, the "nerds" could not get any play, now with an MD, JD, MBA, etc. to their credit, they can't beat the poody away...

That's some good stuff right thurr. Was a hot Asian girl in my office and I over heard her say something about tall guys being sexy and I said that Asian girls are sexy. She tells me she's not Asian, but Mexican. Suddenly she wasn't so hot being just a plain old Messican.

I´ve been out of high school for just three years, and I´ve already had some of my classmates not recognize me, even when I go up and start talking to them.

I would have to say I changed alot.

In high school I was the nerdy kid that did not care. These days I'm not so nerdy and actually cared about college classese.

In high school I backed down from a challenge. Today I welcome it and will procede to place foot to ass when a challenge comes my way.

Also in highschool shop class they would not let my use any of the saws or other crap. These days I frequently rent aircraft out do some learning or a cross country and bring them back.

I will also say that most of my graduating class stayed in the small town that they graduated in. They figured that they just could not adapt or remain being the top dog in a new place (from the people I talked to). I however spent no time in leaving my hometown finding my own place and persuing my goals. Granted I'm not making more money then they are, but so far trying to get these goals done has been a ****ing blast. And the things I learned have really made a change. And they say the ride to the top is half of the fun :D.

I mostly hung out w/ the geek, science types in HS. They are mostly doctors & teachers now living in gated communities. Damn, I’m still an artist with a worthless BS in biology. At least I understand most of what they are talking about. And, hey, I have 6-pack abs now.
