My amex card finally split in two, so I had to use cash this time. Funny how you take more notice of what things cost when you have to use "real" money. It took £107 to fill up - what's that - $212 at today's rate. With oil at a record $144.30bbl today it can only get worse. Still, it's about smiles per gallon and if you can afford the car the economy is pretty much irrelevant. Regards Andrew
Most ferrari owners don't care about your question because (i) they can afford to fill any tank, ii) they don't drive their cars much -- 3K miles per year -- because ferraris are one of the most impractical cars in the world, and (iii) they are addicted to their cars. Well, that's my perspective anyway as a CS owner. Acknowleding this, one can then admit that all ferraris are horrid gas pigs, they pollute the enviroment more than others, and half the people hate the noise they make. An interesting 'tug-of-war' I see developing in the future is how much one's dream of owning a ferrari ("before I die") squares off with the realization that a lot of our behavior not only pummels the environment but is being increasingly disdained by larger numbers of people (including close friends). Today's dream ferrari may soon be tomorrow's dinaousour.
haha just make you guys happy in turkey i am paying 260-300$ for fill up yea oil is expensive in here
Here, Unleaded Octane 95 is pricing at THB45 or us$1.36 per litre. At 1 US Gallon = 3.785 Litres, it is about us$5.15 per gallon for premium here in Thailand. Ouch...
Alright, I have to pay more than 100 bucks to fill up here. BTW, I wont wait that long, I normally do it at half or 1/4 tank left for safety reason.
Do you have any scientific backing for this thought or is it just something you read Perhaps it's time to change your friends - how dare they criticise your choice of car based upon an unfounded belief? It's about time poeple realised that this whole global warming hoax is nothing more than an excuse for higher taxation, and a hoax that is being perpetuated by lentil munchers that couldn't afford to have a nice car because they are too busy protesting about those who can. Sorry - rant over. Regards Andrew
Ranting's fine; let's off steam; coughs up the occasional gem worth considering. I remaing very much in the learning mode, sometimes shocked by what's going on around me, sometimes disdainful of the environmental purists. Time will tell I suppose.
actually they pollute much less, given your earlier (unquoted) premise that the cars are driven seldom. but even mile-for-mile, don't ferrari's meet emissions regulations?
Well said Andrew....these environmentalists could not care less about the environment...this is an anti capitalist movement that realizes the best way to bring down the world economies is to take away their energy sources...they realize as do we that solar and wind power are currently incapable of handling the needs of the worlds energy needs. Mother nature produces 97% of the carbon dioxide in the world...man accounts for the other 3%. The world heats up and the world cools down.. thats the way its always been and always will be. I will drive my Ferrari and other gas guzzlers until the fossil fuels are gone and then there will be a new technology to replace it....necessity is the mother of invention...not governments.
Congrats - you at least have a dream for your future fcar; to make the dream come ture; don't worry about the gas price and mileage since it wouldn't be your concern if you could afford to own a fcar .. just worry about how to make enough to make your dream come true. Good luck - "I HAVE A DREAM ..... "
My 360 equals about $190 in czech now for a full tank. You guys in the US really should not be moaning about petrol prices That dude in Saudi is lucky man, 15 bucks for a full tank!
All the gas burned by all the Ferrari's in the country in a year probably doesnt equal a couple of flights from a large air-liner. Anyone looking at Ferrari's are barking up the wrong tree. Besides which this whole global warming thing is a farce anyway.
