I lost my subscription so cannot post a poll. But the categories would be: 1. I am mostly a poseur and prefer automatic transmissions, paddles, and soft suspension. The gratuitous attention from peers is my main reason for having a Ferrari. I have low self-esteem generally and need external validation nearly constantly. I am arrogant, shallow, and insecure. My material possessions stand in place of my personality. 2. I am somewhat of a poseur. I like a variety of transmission types and enjoy the attention but do not need it. I will flip my Ferrari at the end of the lease and buy something else. My self-esteem varies. I am not a boring person but not always very interesting once my car is taken out of the equation. I don't really need the car anyway and can get along well with a variety of types. 3. I am mostly an enthusiast but will enjoy paddle shifting but really prefer stick shifting manual transmissions and drive for my own pleasure nearly 100% of the time. I do like the attention but could also care less about the attention. I am more realistic and centrist about my life and car. I can hold my own in conversations and can be very engaging, at the center. 4. I am a "pure enthusiast." I am hardcore and like stick shift manual transmissions only. I am very edgy and a snob. I am very arrogant and know everything. I drive for my own pleasure 100% of the time and couldn't care less about the attention. In fact I actually resent the attention. I am borderline anti-social with a chip on my shoulder. Get out of my way. You can answer with a simple "3" or "1" and/or explain yourself. If you don't fit the categories then you can say why.
0. I have no Ferrari but a Rossa subscription. My Facebook status is the VIN of the Fiero that I originally used for my 308 "continuation", which I later modified to look like a 288 GTO. That makes me a full on raging poseur. Well, that, and the fact that I'm from America yet still spell 'poseur' with a 'u'.
I would like to add a class for boxerman, it would be as follows: 5. You pry all the horses and emblems off your car with a screwdriver, even on the inside and apply prototype like camouflage to the exterior of your car to disguise it from being recognized as a Ferrari because it's always been just about the drive.
I'm either a "0" or a "5", as I could give a flying crap what anyone thought of me based on the cars I drive. I drive what I want, based on what I can justify spending my money on & what suits my fancy at the time. Ergo: I couldn't vote, even if there was a poll posted.
Don't understand why manuals are so revered still. Plus I did the whole stripped out interior daily driver thing so I guess I am #1 these days.
People who judge someone based on the car they drive are silly. I evaluate everyone strictly by the size of their watch.
