I think this guy is getting a little picky. On average a 430 is around $200K so I'm seeing them in the $230's. If he wants to split hairs you can tack on anything over a $200 MSRP to the $230 market price range. Of course that's within reason as I doubt someone would be willing to pay a lot more for ceramics for example.

I don't understand the point. Moreover, I was not disputing what you originally presented, but simply trying to help you clarify it because, without clarification (MSRP), your original statement about "seeing coupes in the $230s" had no impact. The only point I picked up in your last post above was an inconsistency between fact and fiction. MSRP is not anywhere near $200K. MSRP for an F1 coupe is as follows: $174,585.00, $350.00 prep and delivery, $4500.00 gas guzzler tax, and destination charges (mine were $1350.00). Total = $180,785.00. A 6-speed would be a lot less. Accordingly, when you see something advertised for $230K, the seller may be asking for $49,215.00 in profit. Or, if that seller is I, the profit narrows to $20,190.00. That is the point that my original post intended to clarify, in fewer words.

By the time you get a few options on the car it's around $200K sticker, no? That's been my understanding. These are the cars that I'm now seeing in the $230's.

Substitute the word MSRP with sticker in my last post and hopefully that'll unravel the mystery :)

No, it's difficult to hit a $200K MSRP unless ordering substantial options, including the rarely ordered carboceramic brake system. Consider the more following common options and you'll understand:

6-cd player: free (not an option anymore)
    colored brake calipers: $930.00
    Scuderia Ferrari shields: $1,418.00
high power hifi with subwoofer: $1,934.00
all stitchings in colour (FNA's spelling of "color"): $301.00

Accordingly, even if you ordered all of the above "popular" options, your price tag is $185,368.00, well under $200K.

F1 and Carbon brakes are the two big options - they total, what, $25k or so alone. My 6-spd coupe with power seats, shields, calipers, and Challenge wheels totaled $177.0k before tax and license.

My stick shift coupe was 178,297. If it had paddles, it would be about 10K more, still well short of 200K. I did see a cooupe in the showroom recently waiting to be picked up that had just about everything. MSRP was about 248K. This is a coupe!

That would be $67,215.00 in options for an F1 coupe. I don't believe that is possible. Wait-- maybe the gangsta rappa solid gold rims was an option that was not offered to me.

Glad to see someone in the US can spell colour correctly :)

But I suspect the contents of that spec sheet was taken from the European one by FNA.

FNA spells color as "colour" on its U. S. window stickers. I was reading from my window sticker. I think I am addressing your question, but I'm not sure what the question addresses.

    It wasn't a question.

Just a kinda joke to highlight its not just "How FNA spells color", but how most of Europe and probably the World does.
