Saw and add for Scud in san francisco Ferrari dealership. red on black no stripes. 1495 miles. asking price is 209k. talk to the sales and he said to make him an offer and he will tell the owner about the offer. I'm not in the market for Scud right now, but if I found one with the right and reasonable price I will push myslef to buy it. going to the dealership this saturday to make decision. any thought?

Perhaps I'm out of touch with the market as of late, but that seems like a great price for a 430 Scuderia. Throw out a number and see what happens after that. But no matter how low the price, be sure to get a proper PPI, run the VIN through CarFax - do your due diligence. A cheap Ferrari now can be an expensive Ferrari later on.

What year?? What options?? Sounds about $20-30k below market, unless I am really missing something. Since he asked for an offer, I would say $200k and see what they say.

PPI!! Car is under warranty, but who wants headaches!!

is this the 08 with no US carbon package. If so, 200 max, is right.

That Scud @ Ferrari SF is an early '08 without the stripe, no US carbon package, and the standard fabric interior. Those three features make it worth about $10K to $15K less than comparable '08's that have the stripe, carbon package, upgraded interior, etc. Retail now probably right is $200K give or take. Wholesale probably $25K less than that. Given that this is a factory authorized dealer, should give everyone a good insight into the values of these cars right now. Good luck.

Currently 09s are on the $235k, 08s with Carbon package on the $225k, 08s without carbon package $210k. Stripe delete is a $5k hit on the used market.

The gap between 09 and 08 is just $10k today. The cars without carbon package are taking a bigger hit because most buyers are aware of the cost to upgrade to the carbon package from the parts counter, plus the obvious performance benefits.

Subtract $2 per mile on the odometer. I would not pay more than $202k for this Scuderia.

Some options carry a good resale (trunk in CF, rocker panels in CF), and some other don't (painted calipers, ipod, etc).

These are the fair closing prices, asking prices are all over the place.

Many of these Scud's on consignment at various dealerships around the country are owned by guys awaiting delivery of their 458's. Once those cars arrive, I think owners will be much more "motivated" and cars will start selling for reasonable $. Best.

Spot on - this is pretty much where the market is today - not the asking prices which in general are high. I would also suggest to any potential buyer of an 08 get it with the CF pkg will make it much easier to sell in the future if you need to.

I don't know either.. in EU it doesn't exist! we had the extractor, the headlights shelves and the front wings in carbon as an option, but it wasn't a package and they were bloody expensive!

The U.S. Carbon Package includes the following formerly options as standard. The options price combined reached close to $20,000, and from the parts counter the number gets close to $30,000.

Carbon Fiber Exterior, Front CEXF $5,993
Carbon Fiber Exterior, Diffuser CEXD $10,523
Door Sill Cover in Carbon Fiber BATC $2,833
