Guys some advice please. How many hours should it take to lower the 458 on the OEM suspension and what is a fair price? It would also be good to know how much would it is to buy and fit lowering springs? Thanks
if you have the front lift system you will need to put lowering springs on the front because the car can only be lowered a maximum of 15mm (1/2 inch), novitec makes good springs for about $1600 plus install, plus lowering cost so total would prob. in the vicinity of US$ 2K or max 2.5K all included, should take 2-4 hours to install and lower if your car does not have the lift system it can be lowered lowering stock coilovers a maximum of 1.25 inches in the back and 1.75 inches in the front i lowered mine the amount specified above just lowering the stock coilovers, here is a video of the lowered car with 20mm novitech rosso corsa plated spacers front and back [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up0E1fnDR7g]Ferrari 458 Italia maneuvering - YouTube[/ame] some more views of the car here: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL4UFej50XU[/ame]
My dealer quoted me a cost of $1600 to lower my in coming 458 Spider using the existing standard stock spring, this cost includes a new wheel alinement.
This sounds very high for me. I payed for the Novitec kit front and rear Euro 2.600,- incl. VAT, incl. assembling and new alinement.
