Congrats on the 348 Tom and welcome to the 348 Brotherhood. :D:D
You dont really need the tool kit. :) You can always buy one off ebay if need be. They come and go all the time. :) Tool kit comes with pliers, spanners, spare fuses, screw drivers ect......ect.....:) I had a cool pic of the 348 tool kit, but I can find it sorry. :)

I would have bought my 348 without the kit -because the car was exactly what I wanted.

I suspect the lack of toolkit was a bigger deal in the pre-internet days. Now, everything is an eBay away.

I know what they're good for and why you need them.

So you can show them off to people when they say.
    "what's in that case"

otherwise I've never used them on either Ferrari I owned.
but I suspect that tow eye thing is necessary,
the rest of the stuff I consider "collectables" :))

Ricambi America can probably get you anything you need for that tool kit thing.

The real question is, where are all the tool kits going?

Seems like such an odd thing to be consistently missing. Maybe the tool kit spontaneously disintegrating is one of those standard 348 problems.

In all seriousness, I suspect they are a "souvenier" for people, much like the spare key. They hold onto them to prove they had the car. Just a theory...

Had to buy a tow hook for mine. (Thanks Daniel!)

Mine came with a tool kit, but i don't even keep it in the car. Maybe a tow hook just in case, but I've put a challenge tow hook on and leave it on. The only other thing is the fix-a-flat canister. I bought a new one and keep it under the seat.

x2! Waste of time. :) Tools are cheap sh*t anyways. More of a collectors thing for sure. :) You would probably break a spanner or screw driver wrenching on your 348 with the tool kit that comes with the car. Mine is in the garage collecting dust. I dont keep the tow hook in the car or fix-a-flat. This town is very small so I would just get a lift back home and go get what I need. :):)
