Well you pretty much don't have a choice at engine out time.
Definitely interesting points and while the water that absorbs into the fluid I would guess the same that a lot of people probably don't notice any difference in braking, but certainly over the years I can say that I have replaced a few frozen calipers on systems that probably never had the fluid changed. I finally bought a brake fluid tester and quite frankly don't know why I didn't do it sooner. No sense being an armchair quarterback............listen to "Rifledriver"
