I was pulled up by the Police in my CSL yet again last night. Saw them miles before they pulled me over, so I was obviously obeying all laws. This seems to happen about once every 6-8 weeks on average and it is getting really old.
They are always nice about it of course; but I don't see there is a reason for it and it is really a PITA.
Just wondering if anyone else has the same annoying problem?

BTW I very rarely get pulled up in a Ferrari, it seems to happen in the bloody M3 99% of the time!

I got stopped in Glenelg on Sunday for a "licence and vehicle check". They are blitzing guys in Commodores with wide wheels etc lately. The cop smiled and said "I just wanted to check out your car". He took a bit of a peek inside and was satisfied. I showed him my licence and he was happy.

They can stop me as often as they like so long as they leave the report book in their pocket.

i was pulled over a month ago while i was in the morgan. the motorcycle cop just wanted to know if it was classed as a bike or a car - this after rolling through a residential street with no speedo/exhaust and a continuous 710 leak.

Must be the area. I haven't been pulled over once in over 10 years, for no reason. A couple of times for speeding, but that's it.

Still havent been pulled up in the 348 here. Rather weird,as the exhaust note could rattle the police stations windows as i cruise through town. :D Just lucky i guess so far. But the time will come..................... :)

Once in a blue moon would be ok; but on a regular basis it is a real pain.

I suspect that and the time of day has something to do with it. Then again, they drive past the CSL outside work every time they go anywhere so it's not like the car would be unfamiliar to them.

I often recognise them (and vice versa) from dosing the prisoners in the lock up. Still get the 3rd degree regardless.

Were you sideways at the time? Is there something unusual looking about your car? Or you? :D

a friend never got his licence until he was 22, but he'd grown up in the outback and had been driving all manner of cars and trucks and tractors and bikes since he was 12. when he moved to the city he just didn't feel the need to get a licence so went for years and years without. then oneday he figgered he may as well, so he got his P's and in the VERY FIRST WEEK he was pulled over 5 (five!) times, once for speeding, once for 'dangerous driving' (long story, he was being hassled by commode-door yobbos), and 3 other times for random/useless reasons.

for the next year on P's he got pulled over on average once a month for some bollocks reason.

i can't imagine the rationale he had driving unlicensed, too many risks, but hey we all gotta be young and stupid sometime. at least i managed to shake off the young part...

I get pulled up in the Magna reasonably regularly... I dont know if they do this just to see what kind of dingbat drives a Magna these days...

.. but last Saturday night, coming from town, I had the 'pleasure' of 2 RBT stops before I made it to my front door. A good thing I dont drink and drive (spills too much Diet Coke... :D)

This is the speed camera state. I travel everywhere at the speed limit (really).
Other than driving a reasonable car in a western suburbs ghetto, nothing unusual that I can think of.

I think we have found the problem. They are checking that the car isn't stolen.
