Just wondering how often you guys are able to meet up and go for a drive in your Fcars and other exotic machinery.
I have read all about the Exotics in the Outback event and was wondering if there are any more events planned.
I would love to see some nice cars while I am out here and was just wondering if anyone is around Sydney or there are any meets in the area.
    Cheers
    Ben:D

Well, today I went for a drive with the Lotus club. Great drive, from Melbourne to Marrysville, via Warburton and Lakes Mountain.
Well, it was a tight, thin road on Lakes Mountain, huge fall on one side of the road and rock face on the other. Great drive, all 20 or so of us trying to outdo each other.

Was all fun and that until we reached snow  and the Esprit became a snow plough.
Some parts of the road were so heavily covered with snow, one couldn't even see the bitumen. And there was NOWHERE to be able to turn the cars around as the road was too thin and dangerous.
Car sliding all over the place, 4wd's coming the other way giving us weird looks, wiper on to move the snow that was being thrown onto my windscreen by the front spoiler, great fun! :)

Car has never been in the rain (save for the TNT debucle), yet it drove through the snow today!

Despite all that, had a lot of fun and took some cool pics.

That sounds like an awesome drive out. I once went out on a sports car run in the snow. 6am in a Ferrari with snow coming down was a very strange sensation! :D

Serves me right for not taking the digital so I can preview the photos.
Most didn't come out at all, and a lot were so fuzzy you can't tell anything.

    These below are as follows:

    - the first 2 were taken when we first saw snow, and we pulled over, let everyone else drive by and then I took the two pics you see with the snow in the background. In real life it appeared to be much more snow  and I didn't think that we were going to see any more.

    - 3rd pic although blury, you can see how the snow was building up on the road. The line in the middle of the bitumen is the middle of road marker - notice how the sides of the orad are filling up with snow

    - last pic, you can see the road in the distance fully dissapearing under the snow

The last two pics were taken by my wife, who instead of focusing the camera on the scenery outside, she was focusing it on the dashboard, that is why the bluriness...

Yes, I know, very dissapointing pics. I'll wait for the Lotus Club magazine to come out in 3 weeks and they should have better photos with all the other cars, etc.
