...come in this forum and just gone "Damn!"

Here-- if you don't want to read my explanation, skip to the bottom for the message.

I own a 1996 Chevy Impala SS. It was my second car after some idiot totalled my Lincoln. I was-- still am partially (I put almost as much as I paid for it in maintenance/repairs in three years!!! $10,000, paid $16,000)-- fascinated with it. Over the past three years I've owned it, I've loved almost every minute of driving it. However it was always breaking-- I put 30,000 miles on it in three years of driving it EVERYWHERE while it was operational. Long story short, it had several months of down time, several times.

www.naisso.net is the National Association of Impala SS Owners website/forum. I found so much information there. Everything that went wrong with my car, I knew what it was, how to fix it, and more importantly, how to fix it cheaply and correctly-- in a very short time.

I thought it was so incredible that I could post the sound, or feeling, or smell that I experienced, and within 24 hours I had an answer. A good answer. An answer that I could trust.

Then, I come to Ferrarichat. While I do not have a Ferrari, I come here to read stories of those of you accomplished enough to have your own Ferrari(s) at this point. I see your pictures, and I drool, dream-- become so motivated!

The information I've found on this forum is incredible. More than incredible. There's not a word for the incredible awe I am in at the vastness of information here. I mean, holy ****. Any car. Any question. Here there is an answer. A good answer. A respected answer. An immediate answer. 24 hours on naisso? 24 seconds on Ferrarichat. Never more than thirty minutes. Sure, more people-- different models. But what is the likelihood(sp?) of someone that knows the specific answer to the question you have so quickly? So many people know, so many people care. And I'm sure, like me, when you read a thread you don't have an answer to, something inside you goes "Damn, don't know-- sorry guy." without posting. Good stuff.

Above and beyond that, there is cohesion here is phenomenal. There is such a feeling of acceptance to me-- albeit I have quite the open mind. People are so blunt, and truthful, yet those being blunted (ha.) are quite welcoming to any criticism, and for the majority, do not retaliate with insult (i know, some do-- unavoidable, there are times it cannot be avoided, i know!).

Joking threads are responded to with "Haha, what are you drunk? That's funny!" instead of "Hey you idiot, go be and idiot on your own time you idiot!" like some forums.

Anyway-- what I'm trying to say and

WHAT EVERYONE THAT SKIPPED THROUGH SHOULD BE TUNING INTO

This forum ROCKS! and I'm proud to be a part of it. Thanks for educating me, and motivating me to be a better person.

Yes, I must say this forum is great. Very informative, respectful, appreciative.
I belong to the Ducati Forum, mechanically very helpful, however the members at times would get a bit obnoxious and not very respectful of others. A few times the webmaster wanted to pull the site down.
IE; there was this one person that had the means of putting high end equipment on his Duc and others would rip him apart.

    Great place here.

This place it oustanding in both the quantity and calibre of individuals who choose to "contribute".

I have personally saved at least 10 times over the minimal cost of my Rossa membership from articles and questions posed in the technical section.

Well said Warren!! I feel the same way. I love this fourm where the common bond is Ferrari but that talks about other things also. In my limited experience I never feel apprehensive about posting here and even though there may be some that don't like what was said there is ALWAYS dialogue and people here NEVER respond with the flip answer of "you don't know what the hell you are talking about." or "Go F yourself" etc. They express their thoughts and enter into conversation....the basis of any civilized society.

    thanks F-chat!!
