Interested to know how young or old you were when you realised you wanted and finally owned your 1st Ferrari. 30. regards
42. Sold all four Porsche 911's the year before. Man, sure wish I would've kept those Cars given their price now. Haha! If I had to choose it would be Ferrari, hands-down.
Who knows! A bit due to money, but also much due to the "fear" to have one: this brand always "scared" me. I was (and still I am) more attracted by Lamborghini brand, as Ferruccio came from a farm like me and wasn't a rich "dowtown man" like Enzo was (more or less). Consider that both lived very close to me so I could feel very much the difference among their ideas and factory "style" and targets. As actual cars, I don't like Ferrari at all while I like very much the actual Lamborghini lineup. I don't like (very much) any Ferrari model that was introduced after 1989. But the 308 GTB GTS family is a masterpiece: I wish I got one before. ciao
For me it started when I was around 19 years old, in the early '80-s. I remember a used 308 was almost the same price as a new one, since new ones had quite a long delivery time. The very first Ferrari I could actually touch/was not on a poster or in a magazine was a white 308. I bought my first and so far only (? Does the Thema 8.32 count ??) Ferrari in 1995 just after my 33'th birthday. It would be awesome to have a 599 next to it, I find the 599 as charismatic and beautiful as a 308, and of course that V12... A Lambo V12 would be nice Alberto, really, réally nice...
14, when I saw the first 308 GTB in the flesh on the street and around two months later the first real 308 GTS on the IAA Germany (Frankfurt Motor Show) 1977. 33 with my 308 GTB I still have. Best Martin
Wanted a Ferrari? - from 1973 so I was 6 years old. I had a Ferrari model that I actually slept with! polistil dino that my parents bought for me at Watkins Glen bought my first Ferrari - 25
16. Started saving for it at 18 with the goal of buying it by 35. Bought a lake house at 35 instead, so backed up the Ferrari to 40. Picked it up the day after my 40th birthday, drove it 1700 miles home.
