    also was it only 06 where the challenge wheel was an option?

    Not rare, except in manual.

    Rare is relative. There weren't that many made when compared to many cars but quite a few for Ferrari. It shouldn't be hard to find BUT as noted, wheels are relatively cheap so find a car and swap on the wheels you want. The Challenge style wheels were an option for the full production run so they are relatively common also.
