    Just curious what some would think of a fixed annuity given the present financial crisis. Prior to our marriage my wife surrendered a sum of money to a large insurance company to fund a 20 year guaranteed payout annuity with a life option. I spoke to a Federal official about it, concerned for its safety given all thats going on, AIG, etc.. What do some of you think? Should we hold course, or grab it now while we still can?
