I went out to lunch today w/ a very good friend of mine. And I told him a secret of mine of how I keep engine bays nice and shiny. Not the WD-40 method, but by spraying Armor All while the engine is still wet, the finishing product is similar to WD I would assume b/c i haven't tried that method yet. Anyways, my friend whose name I will not mention, told me that I shouldn't do that b/c Armor All is extremely flammable. If you do not know I detail cars, so this sparked a very good conversation between the two of us. One thing lead to another and we ended up on my street attempting to set 3 lines of different chemicals on fire.(one of Mothers Carnauba wax, another of their chrome polish, and the last Armor All Ultimate Clean). After proving my point and having safety equipment just in case he was right, we ended up at his place looking for the automotive chemicals he found with labels warning him of Flammability. Again we were on his driveway trying to set the chemicals on fire only to come to the conclusion that I was right. If waxing your car was so dangerous people wouldn't do it so often, also if a car that had wax on it caught on fire it would spread much faster than it does.
After a day of performing experiments and proving I was right for once, I can only ask. How safe is your car wax?

You do make an interesting point i must say. However that isn't what I meant by flammable. What was meant was it being like gasoline where it just explodes, candle wax doesn't explode into flames, it melts.
